Is It Cake or Death

Detective LaRoy and Detective Solange Rousseau barely tolerate breathing the same oxygen back home in New Orleans. Rivals from different offices, allergic to cooperation, and friends through his sister, Cosette, they agree to avoid each other while in Denver, Colorado together for a week-long Christmas vacation with family and friends. But when LaRoy’s sister, Cosette, “accidentally” books them in connecting rooms and drags them to a massive Christmas party hosted by a wealthy tree-farm owner… everything goes snow-globe chaotic.

Just as LaRoy and Solange are gearing up for a night of passive-aggressive holiday avoidance, the hostess collapses face-first into her Christmas cake. Dead. Poisoned. Now trapped in a snowstorm with a house full of eccentric, and increasingly suspicious guests, the two rival detectives must work together to solve the murder before the killer strikes again. But working together comes with dangerous side effects: heated banter, accidental cuddling, and Solange getting her guts rearranged while fucking LaRoy.

As bodies drop, motives twist, and a murderer stalks them through the holiday chaos, LaRoy and Solange find themselves racing against time and dodging danger.
