Steal The Show

Ren Lee was always a timid person, prone to bouts of anxiety. It didn’t help that, unlike most of her peers, she didn’t know what her future goals were. At Twenty-Three she was working a dead-end job, and a college drop out. The only thing she’s ever been passionate about is writing and a fascination with Korean popular culture. When she decides to write a novel one day, combining her two loves, she self-publishes it and thinks nothing of it again. The sales from the book couldn’t even buy her a week of ice coffee from Dunkin. However, one day she makes a TikTok about the novel that unexpectedly goes viral. Suddenly the money is pouring in and she’s a popular first-time author. Ren honestly thinks the hype will simmer out and that would be the end. Next thing she knows she’s offered a contract to turn her book to a TV series and she’s being flown to South Korea.

While there she meets an eclectic group of people working on the production of the show. The most notable person being Wi Hae In. A famous South Korean actor. Ren isn’t prepared for the obvious attraction between the two of them and the straightforward flirting of Hae In. How can an ordinary girl from a nowhere town in Maine possibly be a match for an internationally known actor? As they spend more time together Ren can’t possibly resist Hae In’s charm, and she begins to fall hard.

With months until filming wraps up the two embark on a passionate and intense relationship that they must keep secret. Which is easier said than accomplished. Will Ren live her very own melodrama or will she get her fairytale ending?
